Property Owner FAQs
How we rank landscapers, what the score means, and how to hire with confidence.
How does TopLandscapers rank landscaping companies?
Every company gets an independent TurfScore™ built from verified, public-data signals — Google rating, review volume, and years in business — then ranked against other companies. It is not an ad auction. Placement is earned, never bought.
Is TopLandscapers free for property owners?
Completely. Searching, comparing scores, and viewing profiles is free for homeowners, investors, and property managers. We never charge you to find or contact a landscaper.
How do I find the best landscaper near me?
Search by your city or company name on our directory, or browse the top-ranked companies in your state. Each result shows the company’s national rank, the markets it serves, and its score, so you can compare at a glance.
Can a landscaper pay to rank higher?
No. We are independently scored and never pay-to-play. A company cannot buy a higher score or a better ranking. That is the whole point — you get an honest read, not a paid placement.
What does a company’s TurfScore™ actually mean?
It is a 0-to-100 score of how a company stacks up. Public data — rating, review volume, and tenure — gets a company part of the way. The rest is unlocked only when a company claims its profile and verifies credentials like licensing, insurance, and operational standards. A strong score paired with verification is the signal to trust.
How current is the information on a profile?
Scores and rankings are built from public data and refreshed regularly. Claimed profiles are kept current by the companies themselves, so the most up-to-date profiles are usually the claimed, verified ones.
A profile looks wrong, or I had a bad experience. What do I do?
Let us know through our contact page. We take accuracy seriously — flag an issue and we will look into it.
